A simple calculation to determine the amount of water
your body requires is to divide your weight in pounds
by half. This is the approximate amount of water
needed in ounces daily.

Thanks Andreas. I have heard of this rule to follow, and I have been doing so with great results, for about a year now. It's funny, because just yesterday, I was speaking with someone about seeing if I can get an awareness in the school system here, about water increase with the students. tyrie |

Hi I am in the Water Filtration Business. I am considered an expert in water. Most of the studies done on water, are based on drinking tap water. There are virtually no studies on water as there is no money in studying water! I can tell you that all water is contaminated with heavy metals and a host of chemicals and prescription drugs and of course chlorine and fluoride (a deadly poison,so bad that it is banned in land fill sites). Bottled water has various levels of heavy metal contamination, from extreme to moderate (about the same as tap water) so consequently if you drink a lot of contaminated water your body gets overloaded with toxins. Dasani and Aquafina are about the cleanest bottled waters out there , unfortunately they are highly acidic and expensive. Zeolite will fix the problem of heavy metal build up. If you wish more information about water just ask. Louis |

Be sure to add to that if you are outside in the heat or doing exercise that is causing you to sweat. That calculation doesn't account for that.
